RAWALPINDI: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday said the PTI miscreants who injured security personnel will be brought to justice and will be severely punished. She said this during her visit to Combined Military Hospital to inquire after the health of injured Rangers and police personnel during PTI’s protest in Islamabad. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz went to each injured personnel and inquired after their well-being. The injured officers told her about the violence during the protest as a result of which many officials suffered fractures as well as eye injuries. They further informed her that many personnel suffered head injuries in the violence, adding that the PTI workers opened fire on the police from close range. Maryam Nawaz consoled the injured officials and prayed for their early recovery and return to their homes. She said the Rangers and police officials were the sons of the nation and we were proud of them. She said those who tortured the security personnel would not be spared, adding that the PTI was a miscreant party which had adopted the path of chaos to stop the country’s development. The chief minister said attacks on state institutions, property and security personnel were condemnable. “Pakistan Army and security personnel are sacrificing their lives to restore peace in the country. The miscreants should have been ashamed of attacking the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country,” she said, adding that the federal and Punjab governments were indebted to the injured security personnel.
