Two drivers die, four passengers injured in pile-up

MUZAFFARGARH: Four vehicles collided due to dense fog in Sultan Colony on Sunday morning, resulting in the deaths of two drivers and injuries to four passengers. According to rescue officials, the deceased were the drivers of the vehicles while the injured were passengers of a coach. The accident occurred when a passenger coach, a mini-truck, a tractor-trolley, and a truck collided simultaneously due to poor visibility caused by the fog. Rescue teams arrived at the scene, took out the injured and the bodies and shifted them to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police rescued a physically challenged grade-IX student from Lahore using modern technology and reunited him with his family on Monday. According to details, Muhammad Javed reported to the police station that his younger brother, Muhammad Mustaqim, a grade-IX student, had been kidnapped. Rangpur police registered a first information report and with the efforts of the station house officer and the use of modern technology, the police were able to locate and rescue Muhammad Mustaqim in Lahore.
