ISLAMABAD: The CAS International Squash Championship final is set to be an all-Pakistan affair after locals Nasir Iqbal and Noor Zaman won their respective semi-finals here at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Thursday. While Nasir stunned top seed Ibrahim Elkabbani of Egypt, Noor got the better of compatriot Ashab Irfan. Nasir and Elkabbani’s contest lasted 48 minutes before the former completed a 3-1 (11-9, 8-11, 11-4, 11-4). In the first game, both players displayed an aggressive show but eventually Nasir took it 11-9. Elkabbani bounced back to win the next game 11-8, but from that point on Nasir did not allow the top-seeded player to settle down, defeating him comfortably in next two games to move into the final. Noor, on the other hand, took 33 minutes to defeat Ashab 11-7, 11-9, 11-9.
