SAHIWAL: A woman was stabbed to death while her four-year-old son was injured by her neighbours over a house boundary wall dispute in Hussain Colony. Tahira Bibi and her blind husband used to teach the Holy Quran to children of the locality. According to the police report, Tahira (45) lived with her husband Hafiz Muhammad Ahmed (48), and her two children, Tayyab (4) and Nasir (1) in Hussain Colony. The family had a boundary wall dispute with their neighbour, Muhammad Ashraf, and his family. Ahmed had bought a two-room house from Ashraf long ago. Later, Ashraf’s sisters claimed some portion upon which one room was taken back from Ahmed after payment of price but there was a dispute between two parties over the boundary wall. Tahira and Ashraf exchanged harsh words over the dispute three or four days back. On the day of the incident, when Ahmed went out to offer Asar prayers, Ashraf and his son, Talha (24), allegedly entered Tahira’s house and exchanged harsh words with her once again. In a fit of rage, the father and son stabbed Tahira and critically injured her. During the attack, Tahira’s four-year-old son rushed to save his mother but was also injured in the right hand with a knife. The killers succeeded to escape from the scene. When Ahmed returned home, he found his wife critically injured and his son crying in pain. Rescue 1122 was called to the scene but it found Tahira dead. Ghala Mandi police collected evidence and sent the body to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital for post-mortem. SHO Amir Gujjar said police had arrested the father and son who confessed to committing their crime. The police registered a murder case against four persons.
