LAHORE: Two women were allegedly shot dead by an armed man in Sattokatla area here on Sunday. There are conflicting reports about the motive behind the murders of Hina (25) and Sehar (20). A police official said that the prime suspect Shan, who allegedly shot the women dead, fled the scene soon after the attack. Quoting some area residents, the official said that the suspect, who is said to be husband of Hina, allegedly murdered his wife and his sister in the name of ‘honour’. However, some others say, the women were murdered over a family dispute, the police official said adding that the police cordoned off the crime scene and started investigations. The bodies have been shifted to the city morgue for the postmortem examination, and the police teams dispatched for the arrest of the suspect.
