Prince Harry, alongside with his wife Meghan Markle, made a surprise appearance as wildfires rage across Southern California. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were spotted in Pasadena on Friday to assist with relief work alongside the World Central Kitchen, were low-key about their appearances as they focussed on their work. The wildfire – which is about 90 miles away from Montecito, where the Sussexes live with their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3 – which started on January 7th, devoured thousands of acres of land and claimed the lives of at least 11 people in the Los Angeles metropolitan and surrounding regions. Amid the ongoing chaos, Harry lost a key member of his team at his ‘eco’ firm Travalyst. The Richard Eden revealed that India Gary-Martin, who was the chairman of the eco-friendly travel app, has quit her position just after year and a half. The company confirmed that India left her position just before Christmas “to focus on her own business”. Meanwhile, former Google executive Gianni Marostic has been appointed in her place. However, the report came just hours after Harry and Meghan were seen helping victims of the Eaton fire. Pasadena mayor praised the couple for their help and shared that they “really buoyed the spirits of the first responders” with their visit. As the couple faces a possible risk of the fire reaching their home in Montecito, Harry’s travel company affairs may not be on the list of priorities at the moment.
