They were speaking at a conference held at a local hotel recently. The event titled ‘Demystifying Puberty and Pubertal Disorder’ was organised under the auspices of Pakistan Endocrine Society & Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes of Pakistan to delineate pubertal health of adolescents, which is still an enigma for many healthcare professionals. Dr Hina Sattar, a health professional, shed light upon various aspects of small genital size in boys. Dr Rehmana Waris and Dr Aqeela Ayub shared insights about how precious puberty affected adolescent girls and boys. Dr Saira Bashir and Dr Sarwar Malik outlined various management plans to tackle delayed puberty in young adults. Dr Hadia Aziz talked about the gynaecological aspect of delayed menstruation in young girls. The speakers highlighted that proper management of pubertal diseases was imperative to improve the physical and psychosexual health of these individuals.
