MANSEHRA: Three people were killed and two sustained critical injuries when a jeep travelling on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road plunged into a deep ravine in Paras area of Kaghan Valley here on Monday. “We have shifted the deceased and the inured to a nearby health facility,” one of the policemen, who rushed to the spot after the accident, told reporters on the occasion. He said that the jeep carrying passengers was on its way to Paras from a nearby village when the driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a sharp turn. Local residents rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies and the injured to a nearby health facility after retrieving them from the gorge. The deceased were identified as Liaqat Shah, Naseer Shah and Waqar Shah, and the injured – Sadaqat Shah and Rafaqat Shah – were later referred to Civil Hospital Balakot. The police said condition of one of the injured was critical.
