KARACHI: Only ten bodies out of the 26 killed in the Pak Air crash near Jungshahi on Monday [Dec 12] were found and brought to Karachi on Wednesday afternoon [Dec 14]. The rest were all a charred mass of bones mixed with the ashes of the wrecked ill-fated Dakota. The bodies recovered included the two distinguished Army officers of Pakistan, Majors-General Iftikhar and Sher Khan, who were buried with full military honours at the Armed Forces Cemetery in Karachi on Thursday [Dec 15]. Begum Iftikhar Khan was buried alongside the grave of her husband. The bodies of the three delegates to the IIEC, Sayed Shafiq El-Khatib (Egypt) Mr Mohammad bin Aboud (Morocco) and Mr Hammami (Algeria), are being sent to their respective countries by the Pakistan Government. Over 15,000 Muslims including the Police and the Armed Services of Pakistan joined the official funeral prayers for the peace of the soul of their foreign delegates on Thursday afternoon at Frere Hall. The remaining four bodies which were recovered were those of Mrs Din Mohammad, Co-pilot Salim Jamaluddin, Radio Officer Burhy, and Air Hostess Drake.
