PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced that his party will join the Jamaat-i-Islami’s (JI) solidarity rally for Palestine. According to a statement from the PPP, a JI delegation led by party emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman called on Bilawal in Islamabad. Both party leaders discussed the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, with the JI emir extending Bilawal an invitation to join their march for Gaza. Addressing reporters after the meeting, Bilawal lamented that the world “remained indifferent to the martyrdom of women and children in Palestine” and that “Israel does not regard human rights and violating them with impunity”. “Israel is on a campaign to usurp Palestinian and Muslim lands for its agenda of creating a greater Israel,” Bilawal said. “The PPP stands firm with Muslims all over the world.”
