Old grudge leads to murder

GUJRAT: The lone son of a couple was shot dead by the firing of armed men over some old grudge in Dhariwal village of Tanda police precincts on Monday. Reports said Muhammad Shahzad alias Maana was present outside a barber shop in the village when Hassan and Abu Bakar along with two unidentified suspects arrived there and opened fire on him, leaving him dead on spot. The suspects fled the scene. The body was shifted to the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital where it was handed over to family after autopsy. Police have registered a case against six suspects, including four nominated, under sections 302, 109 and 34 of Pakistan Penal Code on the report of Muhammad Nawaz Warraich, an uncle of the deceased. Maana was father of two daughters.
