The co-founder of Uncommitted National Movement has shared that he will be voting for Vice President Kamala Harris as the group — which ultimately decided to not endorse the Democratic nominee — has warned against former President Donald Trump, reports. “This is a moment where we have to look very clearly at what Donald Trump has planned for our communities and for Arab and Muslim Americans in particular,” Abbas Alawieh told , adding that as a former congressional staffer who was at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, he is “no stranger the kind of violence and policy violence that Donald Trump intends to champion in our country”. Alawieh added in the clip shared to the group’s X page that though he will vote for Harris, he hopes a “coalition” of voters, including those who voted for Harris, will put pressure on “the next administration to break from the policy of sending — of sending unconditional weapons and funding to the Israeli military”.
