Docks SHO Nafeesur Rehman told that 27-year-old Asim Parvez, who was in a civilian dress, was intercepted by armed pillion riders at the bridge. The suspects demanded his cell phone but he threw the phone in the malkhana under the bridge and tried to escape. The Surjani police on Friday claimed to have arrested three suspects, two of them teenagers, in wounded condition after an ‘encounter’ in the Kaneez Fatima area. The police identified them as Meekail Nasir, 16, Farhan Fazal, 18, and Farooq Haroon, 20. Three pistols and a snatched motorcycle were recovered from their custody.
