LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz says 10 years have passed since the Army Public School Peshawar tragedy but its pain cannot be diminished. Paying tribute to the martyrs of the APS tragedy, the CM said on Monday that the dark morning of Dec 16, 2014 was etched in the hearts of every Pakistani. “Terrorists brutally targeted 147 innocent children and their teachers. Young students who wanted to brighten the future of this country with the light of knowledge were victims of the brutality. The Dec 16 tragedy was not only an attack on the school but also on humanity, education and the bright future of Pakistan.” She further said the sacrifice of innocent students and teachers taught us that ending terrorism was inevitable at all cost. “The APS martyrs are the heroes of our nation,’’ she said.
