HARIPUR: A three-day international conference on ‘Emerging Technologies: Innovations for Sustainable Development Goals’ concluded at the University of Haripur here on Saturday. The event was attended by experts, researchers and students to address one of the most pressing issues of achieving SDGs through technological innovation, according to a press release. The conference focused on the critical role of SDGs in both national progress and individual life, emphasising the urgent need for innovation in addressing the world’s most significant challenges. The conference featured over 45 research presentations and over 100 research papers. Nasir Shah, Director General Higher Education Commission’s regional office, Prof Shafiqur Rehman, Vice-Chancellor of University of Haripur, Prof Mazhar Ayaz, VC Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur, Prof Rasheed Ahmed, VC University of Malakand, Prof Hassan Sher, VC University of Swat, and Prof Ihsanullah Khan, VC University of Mianwali, were prominent among those who spoke to the participants.
