BAHAWALPUR/TOBA TEK SINGH: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori visited the native village of Olympian Arsh
BAHAWALPUR/TOBA TEK SINGH: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori visited the native village of Olympian Arshad Nadeem in Mian Channu on Sunday and commended him for bringing international fame to Pakistan in Javelin throw. He signed an MoU with Nadeem, making the athlete a brand ambassador of Karachi Marathon due in January. The governor said more than 60 games would be part of the event. On the request of Arshad Nadeem, Tessori announced to bear all expenditures on the completion of a mosque in his village. Tessori was was received at the helipad by Khanewal DC Muhammad Ali Bukhari and other officers. Talking to media, the Sindha governor praised Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz for doing her best for the development of Punjab. Speaking to a large number of people present there, the governor said during Arshad Nadeem’s Karachi’s visit, he had expressed his desire to visit his village. Tessori expressed gratitude to the people of Mian Channu for a warm welcome.
