MIANWALI: A new emergency services Rescue 1122 centre has been inaugurated at Daudkhel town, 30km from here, on Friday, on the orders of the chief minister. The centre was inaugurated by PML-N former provincial minister Amanatullah Khan Shadikhel, ex-MPA MalikFeroze Joyi, along with Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Gorayia. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shadikhel said the launch of Rescue 1122 service is important inthe area that falls on the CPEC route passing through the district and a hosts cement andfertiliser units. DC Mr Gorayia said this service will also be beneficial for the residents of the surrounding areas of the town. He said initially the centre has one ambulance, but he will request the high-ups to increase the number of these vehicles, keeping in view the vast area to be covered by this service. District Emergency Officer Engr Naveed Iqbal said the centre was manned by professional rescuers, who responded to any emergency in the minimum time. After inauguration of the service, guests planted saplings in the compound of the centre.
