RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has announced the temporary suspension of the Rawalpindi Metro Bus Service between Saddar and Faizabad, citing necessary repair work on the Rawalpindi section of the corridor. The civic agency stated that the service will be unavailable from Nov 28 to Dec 1. During this period, the public has been urged to opt for alternative modes of transport. Officials said the upgrades aimed to improve the performance and safety of the service. RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza regretted any inconvenience caused by the likely suspension, stating, “We understand that this may cause difficulties for commuters, but these measures are crucial for the durability of the corridor.” Once completed, she said the renovation will significantly improve the quality of the corridor, ensuring better and more comfortable travel options for the public.
