LAKKI MARWAT: A young boy was shot dead by a friend in Aagari Khanzadkhel area, here on Thursday. Police officials said that Shamsuzzaman opened fire on Farmanullah with a pistol, killing him on the spot. They said that the accused forced the deceased boy to maintain friendship with him. Complainant Irshadullah, brother of the deceased, told Ghaznikhel police that the murder occurred when his brother refused to befriend the killer. Police are making further investigations into the murder. Moreover, a young cricketer was shot dead over a petty dispute in Tajori town. Police said that the accused Sajjad opened fire on Rizwanullah when he was playing cricket in Kotka Dab area. They said that Rizwan was critically injured and died on his way to the hospital. In another shooting incident, Jafar Khan, 62, was gunned down by Mashal Khan over an old enmity in Naurang town Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police station registered a case and started investigation. Separately, an official of the health department was injured during a robbery on Bannu-DI Khan road near Naurang town late Wednesday night. Police said that three unknown armed accused shot and injured Gulap Noor and snatched away cash, two mobile phones and his motorcycle. The injured was shifted to DHQ hospital for medical treatment. The police registered a case and started investigation.
