CHARSADDA: Two brothers of Pir Qilla area drowned in River Kabul at Rashakai the other day. The body of one brother was fished out by rescue workers while search for second one was under way. According to reports, 22-year old Imam Hussain and 20-year old Abbas Khan, both brothers, went to bank of River Kabul for picnic near Rashakai and drowned in the river while bathing. The rescue workers recovered body of elder brother Imam Hussain on Wednesday night. They are continuing their search but yet to recovered body of Abbas Khan. : Students of Government Degree College Zaim locked the college main gates and also blocked Charsadda-Tangi road in protest against poor results of BS exam. Addressing the protesting students, Jawad, Ashfaq, Saddam Hussain and others termed failure of 13 students in the BS semester exam as a revenge of the college administration. The students also criticised policies of principal of the college, adding there was no proper facilities for students in the college. Later DSP Tangi and local elders held talks with student leaders and assured them of possible cooperation. Later, the protesting students ended the protest and dispersed peacefully. Open-day expo was arranged at Bacha Khan University, to create awareness among students about their carriers and selecting subjects of their choice to flourish their abilities. The expo was held for the first time in the university which was attended by vice chancellor Dr Zahid Hussain, DG higher education department Nasir Shah, Deputy Commissioner Qaiser Khan, DPO Masud Khan, registrar Dr Izaz Ahmed Khan. On this occasion different departments of the university had set up stalls to exhibit protects. The guests visited various stall and took interests in the exhibition. The participants hailed the arrangements; saying holding such expos would help students during admissions in departments of their choice.
