MUZAFFARGARH: Layyah city police have registered a case against eight people and arrested four of them for allegedly selling a woman to a gang and recovered her. ‘F’ , a resident of Multan, reported to the Layyah city police that she had been sold to a gang under the false pretense of being offered a job. She filed a complaint against eight people, including Mohammad Usman, Manu Bibi, Afi and Nadeem, who lured her with the promise of employment. Usman then allegedly sexually assaulted her at his residence in Layyah. The woman alleged that the suspects sold her to Saad Awan, Mohammad Kaleem, Naveed, and Nadeem. She alleged that they subjected her to sexual assault and brutal torture. Layyah police have arrested Saad, Kaleem, Naveed, and Nadeem, who have been remanded in custody. Sub-Inspector Shanze Maria confirmed that the police took immediate action against the suspects and efforts are underway to arrest others. Fatehpur police have registered a case against two landlords accused of cutting a cow’s leg and breaking its ribs at Chak 222-TDA, following the orders of Layyah DPO Asadur Rehman. According to the complaint filed by a widow, Irshad Bibi, her cow had moved into the land of Mohammad Ramzan to graze. In response, landlords Ramzan and Ghulam Yaseen allegedly captured the cow, cut off one of its legs and broke its ribs. The pregnant cow valued at Rs0.6 million due to its rare breed, collapsed and was unable to walk. The Fatehpur station house officer confirmed that a case has been filed under Section 6 of the Pakistan Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1890, and Section 431 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). PORNOGRAPHY: The FIA cyber crime wing arrested a suspect during a raid on Saturday for his involvement in producing and sharing child pornography. The suspect, Jam Sher, was arrested by the Multan FIA cyber crime circle in Muzaffargarh. According to an FIA official, the arrest was made following a complaint from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. The suspect had been using a TikTok account to share child pornography. During the raid, the mobile phone used in the crime was seized, and explicit material related to child pornography was recovered. Further investigation is underway.
