Zimbabwe defeats Pakistan in third T20, Pakistan wins series 2-1

Zimbabwe secured a thrilling 2-wicket victory over Pakistan in the third and final T20 match of the series, but Pakistan clinched the series 2-1. The match, held in Blantyre, saw Pakistan’s captain, Salman Ali Agha, winning the toss and opting to bat first. Pakistan posted a total of 132 runs in their 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Captain Salman Agha was the top scorer with 32 runs, while Tayyab Tahir contributed 21 and Qasim Akram made 20 runs. In addition, Usman Khan managed just 5 runs, Sahibzada Farhan made 4, and Ameer bin Yousuf was dismissed for a duck. Abbas Afridi scored 15, while Ifrat Munhas made 22 and Jehandad Khan remained unbeaten on 6. Zimbabwe’s Muzarabani took 2 wickets, keeping Pakistan’s total in check. In reply, Zimbabwe chased down the target of 133 runs in the final over, losing 8 wickets. Brian Bennett was the top scorer for Zimbabwe with 43 runs, while Marumani added 15, Sikandar Raza made 19, and Myers contributed 13 runs. In the final over, Maposa remained not out on 12 runs off 4 balls, guiding his team to a remarkable win against Pakistan in the final T20 match. For Pakistan, Abbas Afridi picked up 3 wickets, while Jehandad Khan took 2. Salman Ali Agha and Sufiyan Maqeem both claimed a wicket each.
