NAWABSHAH: A man electrocuted his two sisters in the name of honour after drugging them at his house in Mohajir Colony in Old Nawabshah on Thursday. Police officials said that Kamran first gave a sedating substance to his sisters, Alishah, 35, and Razia, 21, which made them unconscious, and then electrocuted them. The accused surrendered to police at B-Section police station afterwards where he was put behind the bars after registration of an FIR on behalf of state against him under Sections 302 and 211 of PPC, they said. The FIR said that police received a call from Imran Ali that his brother had electrocuted his sisters. They said the bodies were shifted to Peoples University Medical Hospital for autopsy and initial medical report confirmed the victims were electrocuted. Gas leak after a blast at an ice factory badly affected a large number of workers and residents of Bandhi village here on Friday. Most of the affected people felt dizziness and burning in eyes as the gas engulfed the factory and spread across the nearby locality. Some worst-hit people started vomiting. Factory workers said that the sudden blast brought down the roof, and with its collapse, the gas pipelines also badly damaged, thus causing the leak.
