IHC decided 12,374 cases in 2024

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday updated the list of cases decided during 2024, bringing the total number of decided cases to 12,374. During the year, eight judges of the IHC decided 10,571 cases in their respective benches. However, the two member division benches of the IHC decided another 1,803 cases. In 2023, the total cases decided by these judges were 11,170. Last calendar year ended on Dec 31, 2024, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq decided 2,525 cases, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani decided 1,616, Justice Mianghul Hassan Aurangzeb 1,021, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri 925, Justice Babar Sattar 964, Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan 1,490, Justice Arbab Mohammad Tahir 1,195 and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz 835. As per the bench wise disposal report of year 2023, out of 11,170 cases decided during this year, IHC Chief Justice Farooq disposed of 1,529 cases, Justice Kayani 1,571, Justice Aurangzeb 1,173, Justice Jahangiri 1,079, Justice Sattar 790, Justice Khan 963, Justice Tahir 1,134 and Justice Imtiaz 605.
