LAHORE: A young woman impersonating an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) was arrested on Sunday after entering the office of the Lahore capital city police officer (CCPO) in a police uniform. The woman, a resident of DHA Phase 5, introduced herself as an ASP and was initially received with protocol by the security personnel at the entrance. According to officials, the woman demanded a meeting with the CCPO and asked that he come out of his office, which raised suspicions among the security team. The situation escalated when the officers noticed that she was wearing ‘fancy shoes’, which are not part of the official police uniform. Upon questioning, the woman failed to produce any official identification or documents to support her claim. The police soon discovered that she was impersonating an officer. The Civil Lines police were called to the scene, and she was taken into custody. An FIR was registered against her for impersonating a police officer.
