KARACHI: The KC Jinko Solar National Juniors and Seniors Tennis Championship entered its fifth day here at the Karachi Club on Tuesday, with several matches taking place across different categories. In the juniors Under-18 second-round, Ahtisham Humiyon, Mohammad Yahya, Hamza Asim, Aboubaker Talha and Mohammad Salar cruised into the next round following thumping victories. Ahtisham downed Haziq Asim 6-2, 6-4 while Yahya routed Aisam Malik 6-0, 6-1. Hamza overpowered Nabil Qayyum 6-1, 6-3 and Salar defeated Ehsaan Ali 6-1, 6-2. Aboubaker delivered the most dominating performance of the day as he clinched a flawless 6-0, 6-0 win against Hazik Areejo. In another notable match, Asad Zaman also secured a victory, defeating Muzammil Bhand 6-3, 6-4. In the boys Under-14 second-round, Ansarullah, M. Muaz and Ruhab Faisal all registered dominant 4-0, 4-0 victories against Ibrahim Aamir, M. Umer and Hesmesh, respectively. The ladies quarter-finals saw Daliah Shazim and Eschelle Asif both achieving commanding wins, with Daliah defeating Zainab Afnan 8-0 and Eschelle overpowering Hibah Rizwan 8-0. In the 45 Plus Doubles first round, the duo of Muhammad Abdul Saeed and Colonel Yawar triumphed over the pair of Zeeshan Malik and Latif with a score of 8-2.
