LAHORE: The Defence police have arrested a young man for displaying a fake registration number – ‘IK-804’ – on his car. The car of suspect Nadeem Mubarak, a resident of DHA Phase-VII, was also impounded by the police. A police official said the suspect displayed the fake registration number on front and rear sides of his car. The police stopped him and, on verification from the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department, found that the number was not registered. On being quizzed, the suspect couldn’t satisfy the police with regard to displaying the fake registration number – IK-804 – which is said to be the prisoner number allotted to incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan. The FIR was registered by the Defence C police on the complaint of the ASI Khalid Mahmood.
