KASUR: Two people died and three others, including a woman, were injured in separate road accidents caused by dense fog on Sunday. In the first incident, brick kiln worker Arshad Masih, 24, died, and another worker, Rehmat Ali, 40, was injured when a tractor-trolley loaded with bricks overturned along Changa Manga Road in the jurisdiction of Kot Radha Kishan police. According to Rescue 1122, the vehicle veered off the road due to thick fog and slipped onto an uneven track, causing the trolley to overturn. The workers, seated atop the load, were buried under the bricks. Masih died on the spot, while Rehmat sustained serious injuries. The injured was shifted to Kot Radha Kishan THQ Hospital and the body was sent for autopsy. In another incident on Head Baloki Road, 12-year-old Malika Bibi died, and her parents sustained severe injuries when their motorcycle was struck by a car from behind in the jurisdiction of Sarai Mughal police station. Muhammad Aslam, his wife Sakina Bibi, and their daughter were en route to Phoolnagar when the car hit their motorcycle. The driver fled the scene. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Pattoki THQ Hospital, where Malika was pronounced dead. Her parents are in critical condition. The police are investigating the hit-and-run incident.
