LAHORE: Over 200 affectees of housing schemes lodged their complaints with NAB Lahore Director General Amjad Majeed Aulakh during an open court here on Saturday. There were also affectees of other financial scams like ForU Real Traders, Grow Impact Bold Vision and Prime Zone scams. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Aulakh authorised a full-fledged inquiry after completion of a complaint verification process of the ForU Real Traders scandal in which more than 700 complainants submitted their claims to the tune of Rs570m. The DG also finalised the settlement plan for the Khayaban-e-Ameen Housing Society, ensuring the provision of plots to each and every claimant. He assured the affectees that NAB would not rest until the last claimant received their plot. He further informed that within the upcoming few months, all 700 affecteess would be compensated and those who might not get plots, market value compensation would be ensured. To facilitate the complainants of the Lahore Motorway City, DG NAB directed the team concerned for immediate redress. He referred the complaints against Lahore Garden Housing Scheme’s administration to the deputy commissioner and district police officer (DPO) of Sheikhupura for action. Regarding the Formanites Housing scam, the NAB Lahore DG informed the affectees that the bureau was actively working to auction the seized properties for recovery of public investments yet two auction attempts remained inconclusive. However, he said that the efforts were underway to return double amounts to the affectees.
