LAHORE: Pakistan Railways (PR) on Saturday announced 10 per cent reduction in the fares of AC class of all trains as well as the passenger trains that are operating on local or short distance routes. The reduction in fares would be applicable from September 23 (Monday). Through a notification issued by the chief marketing manager, the PR’s director (IT) has been asked to implement the new fares on advance reservation. All divisional superintendents have also been directed to update the fare table with from Sept 23 at all stations and booking and reservation offices.
