The man was accused of murdering his wife and mother-in-law in village Ikhlas on Aug 12, 2022. According to prosecution, the convict’s wife, 26, a native of Tawain village, wanted divorce after developing differences with her husband a few years after marriage. During the three years trial, the prosecution produced substantial evidence against the nominated accused which established involvement of him in the cold blood double murder and subsequently the additional session judge Qammar Zaman Bhatti after hearing the arguments of defense and prosecution counsel announced the verdict as the convict was found guilty of killing the two women, subsequently handed down death sentence to a convict on two counts. The judge also imposed a fine Rs1 million over convict as damages.
