PESHAWAR: Bank of Khyber, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) and Board of Reven
PESHAWAR: Bank of Khyber, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) and Board of Revenue on Wednesday signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to initiate the roll-out of the e-stamping project, wherein the bank will act as a collecting agent for e-stamping in the province. A statement issued here said that the signing ceremony was attended by minister for revenue and estate Nazir Ahmed Abbasi, senior member Board of Revenue Ikramullah Khan, acting chief executive officer BOK Irfan Saleem Awan and KPITB chief executive officer Akif Khan. The initiative supports the provincial government’s commitment to digitising services and streamlining business operations. “Leveraging technological advancements, the e-stamping project allows citizens to conveniently obtain stamp papers within minutes. By simplifying this process through a user-friendly online platform provided by BOK, it not only saves time but also enhances public accessibility. Moreover, this initiative significantly reduces the potential for fraudulent practices and government revenue leakage by digitising records and ensuring transparent transactions,” the statement explained. The phased rollout of the e-stamping project across the province aims to boost revenue collection and improve data reconciliation. Citizens can easily participate by generating a challan on the web portal, paying the specified duty at any BOK branch, and immediately receiving their e-stamp certificate at the same location.
