LAHORE: A joint team of Punjab police special operations cell and the Federal Investigation Agency on Wednesday foiled an attempt by a suspect accused of attacking TikToker Samina in Gujranwala, to flee abroad and arrested him at Sialkot airport, says a handout. The suspect, Sultan Ahmed, was arrested at Sialkot airport on Wednesday as he attempted to escape to Oman. The spokesperson for Punjab police said Sultan Ahmed is the brother of the complainant and had been placed on the Provincial National Identification List (PNIL). With the assistance of the FIA, police arrested him before he could board his flight. Sultan Ahmed is accused of launching a violent attack on TikToker Samina last month in the Qila Didar Singh area of Gujranwala. An FIR for the attack has been lodged at the Qila Didar Singh Police Station.
