Zartaj acquitted in illegal appointments case

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Former minister Zartaj Gul has been acquitted in a case related to illegal employment appointments in exchange for money. The case registered under first information report No. 16/24 at the Border Military Police (BMP) station in Kot Sabzal, was dismissed by Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Muhammad Latif. Advocate Malik Moazzam, representing Zartaj Gul, argued that the FIR was politically motivated, a claim later confirmed by the plaintiff during the proceedings. Following the verdict, Zartaj Gul stated, “This is the 51st politically motivated FIR from which I have been acquitted.” She described the allegations as politically driven, similar to previous accusations of land grabbing in Rajanpur. Reaffirming her political commitment, Zartaj Gul expressed her continued support for Imran Khan, calling him a “true and genuine leader” and asserting that she would stand by him despite any political pressures.
