KHYBER: Federal Investigation Agency conducted raids on three unlicenced travel agencies in Landi Kotal Bazaar on Wednesday and arrested three persons for unlawfully running these facilities. FIA officials said that the raids were conducted by its Anti-Human Trafficking and Smuggling Cell on public complaints that tour and travel agencies and Haj operators in Landi Kotal were involved in illegal human smuggling. The officials said that three persons, Mushahid Khan, Shamsur Rehman and Mohammad Faheem were arrested after they failed to produce any licence or other legal document related to travel and tours business. The officials said that they also seized at least 10 Pakistani passports from the three travel agencies and registered FIRs against the arrested persons. The officials said that these travel agencies were also without any overseas employment promotion licence, and were unlawfully sending local unemployed youth to different countries after taking huge amounts from them.
