LARKANA: The heirs and other relatives of a villager, Noor Mohammed Shaikh, 40, who was attacked with a hatchet and seriously injured on November 24, held a noisy demonstration outside the SSP Chowk here on Monday as soon as he breathed his last. The victim, father of eight, was attacked while he was cutting firewood in the village situated within the jurisdiction of the Mahota police station. He had been under treatment in the city’s Trauma Centre but could not survive. The charged protesters were demanding arrest of all those involved in the attack and appropriate sections of the law to be applied in the FIR against the suspects, two of them, Saeed Bhatti and Sulaiman Bhatti, are in police custody.
