HYDERABAD: Awami Tehreek has dismissed government’s report on Dr Shah Nawaz Kunbhar’s extrajudicial
HYDERABAD: Awami Tehreek has dismissed government’s report on Dr Shah Nawaz Kunbhar’s extrajudicial murder as “biased and malicious” and demanded a judicial commission headed by serving judges of Sindh High Court be formed to probe the murder in a fair and transparent manner. AT central organiser Vasand Thari and central committee members Lal Jarwar and Ismail Khaskheli said in a statement issued here on Friday that the report failed to name the officers, who had issued orders for Dr Shah Nawaz’s killing. The report appeared to protect high-ranked officials involved in the extrajudicial murder, they said. They said that AT outright rejected the “fake” investigation report. They called for filing charges of murder and terrorism against those who had killed Dr Shah Nawaz, those responsible for torching his body and those spreading violence and chaos in the province. They demanded security to Dr Shah Nawaz’s family.
