SWAT: A man shot dead his sister-in-law and her friend in the name of honour in Taran area of Daiwali village, Kabal Tehsil on Wednesday night. According to the preliminary police investigation, Yousaf Shah, a resident of Taran, had opened fire and killed Shagufta and a man identified as Hazratullah on the spot. The two were allegedly involved in illicit relations. “Our police van was on a routine patrol when we heard the gunshots We reached the spot and found two dead bodies, while the killer had managed to escape from the crime scene,” said Kabal police officials. Residents of the area stated that the woman’s husband had been working abroad for the past three years. The police registered a case and busy in assessing all aspects of the case. In another incident, a man shot and injured his former wife as she was coming out of a local court. However, the police personnel, who were present at the scene, arrested the accused identified as Momin. The police said that the injured woman had filed a divorce case against the accused.
