ISLAMABAD: Two persons were gunned down by their rivals outside the capital’s Judicial Complex on Thursday, police said. A passerby was also injured in the firing incident. The deceased were identified as Syed Tafseer Hussain and Wajid Masood, while the injured as Nazir, both were in their late 30s. The police said that Syed Tafseer Hussain and Wajid Masood appeared in the court of Additional Sessions Judge West in connection with a case registered against them under murder attempt section. Both were on bail, they added. When they left the court and reached the road outside the court, three persons lying in wait started indiscriminate firing on them, the police said. As a result, the two persons and a passerby sustained bullet injuries and fell on the road. The gunmen escaped on a motorcycle, they said, adding that one of the injured died on the spot. Later, the two injured along with the body were shifted to hospital where one of the injured also died. Medical assistance was given to the injured and he was kept in the hospital. After getting information, Deputy Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Raza along with police contingent reached the spot and cordoned off the area. A police team also collected evidence from the spot, including bullet shells of an SMG and a pistol. The police said the deceased had an old enmity in of Kotli Sattian and a murder case had also been registered against them there.
