BAHAWALPUR: A TikToker allegedly died after being bitten by a snake he was using to shoot a video clip, in Sooraj Miani area in Multan on Monday. According to police, TikToker Waseem went to on Hakim Javed, who keeps snakes, claiming to use them in different homemade ‘medicines’ for his patients. Waseem requested Javed to let him shoot a video with a snake. Javed, accepting the request, gave him a snake. The police said that when Waseem was recording the video, he was bitten by the snake and was shifted to hospital, where he died. His body was shifted to the Nishtar Hospital for the postmortem examination. After his death, police raided Javed’s workplace, but he managed to escape. Sources say that the wildlife department officials also conducted unsuccessful raids to arrest Javed to prosecute him under the Wildlife Act. Multan police claim to have arrested three dacoity suspects allegedly injured in an encounter near MPS Road on Monday. According to police sources, on a tip-off that five suspects were fleeing after committing a dacoity and injuring two brothers, a police patrol party chased them. Later, during a shootout with police, three of the suspects were allegedly injured in the firing by their own accomplices, while two others managed to escape. The police say that the injured suspects, identified as Talha, Zeeshan and and Danial, were involved in several criminal cases registered against them in different police stations. Cases were registered against the arrested and fleeing suspects.
