ISLAMABAD: The young woman who was found dead in a residential tower on Tuesday had come to the capital to sort out her marriage dispute. According to the police, the woman had developed differences with her husband and a case was under trial over the matter in the court of law. The deceased resided in Dubai with her mother where she met a man and discussed the case with him. In response the man offered his services and assured her that he can turn the decision in her favour. Some two weeks ago the woman arrived in Pakistan and stayed with her brother. On Monday morning she told her brother that the man had called her to Elysium Tower for a meeting after which she would leave for the court. Around 1pm the woman sent a WhatsApp message on her sister-in-law’s mobile phone, informing her that she was with the man and will leave for the court at 2pm. She also asked her sister-in-law to get ready and accompany them. Later, when her brother tried to call her, he found her mobile phone switched off. Around 10:45pm he was informed through a call that his sister’s body was lying in a flat in the tower. He reached the tower and found his sister’s body lying on a bed. He alleged that his sister had been killed by the man due to unknown reasons who also took her belongings with him, which included her mobile phone and purse. A murder case has been registered with the Margalla police against the unidentified person in response to a complaint lodged by the deceased’s brother.
