Schools closed in Beirut after deadly Israeli strike

Schools in Beirut were closed today after Israeli strikes on the Lebanese capital killed six people which includes Hezbollah’s spokesman, the latest in a string of top militant targets slain in the conflict, reports. Six people were killed in the strikes, according to Lebanese health ministry figures, including Hezbollah media relations chief Mohammed Afif, the group and Israel’s military said. The strikes prompted the education ministry to shut schools and higher education institutions in the Beirut area for two days.
