ISLAMABAD: After a seven-year gap, the Pakistan Sports Board has finally announced the holding of the Inter-Provincial Games next month. The week-long Games will be held from December 13 here at Pakistan Sports Complex, in which three thousand athletes and officials are expected to participate. According to PSB, this event will help foster unity and athletic excellence across Pakistan’s provinces and it will see participants from all regions competing in various sports disciplines. The PSB stated that that comprehensive preparations involve upgrading facilities, organising logistics, and coordinating with provincial teams to bring together athletes from across Pakistan in a celebration of national unity and sporting talent. “To uphold transparency and financial discipline, PSB has also floated tenders for the event’s arrangements, which have been posted on both the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority website and the PSB’s official site,” said a PSB official. Director General of PSB, Yasir Pirzada, underscored the board’s commitment to reviving this prestigious event after a prolonged gap. “It is a testament to the PSB’s dedication and hard work that we are able to hold these games after seven years. We are committed to providing an exceptional platform for athletes to showcase their skills and for provinces to unite in the spirit of healthy competition,” he stated.
