Govt promoting education, sports sectors, says minister

MARDAN: Minister for education Faisal Khan Tarakai has said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government is focusing on promoting education, health and sports sectors. He was talking to mediapersons at the Mardan Sports Complex on the occasion of the concluding ceremony of inter-districts sports tournament on Tuesday. He attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Mr Tarakai said sports and other recreational activities were essential along with education in personality building. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was giving special attention to promotion of sports, and that’s why sports competitions were being organised in various districts. The education minister said as per the vision of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, the party was promoting education, sports and health sectors as the future of young generation was depended on the advancement of these fields. To a query, he claimed that that the party leadership was struggling for the people’s rights. Mr Tarakai accused the central government of failing to arrest the sky-rocketing inflation to ease the people’s suffering. He claimed that flour was available at Rs20 per kilogramme when Imran Khan was the prime minister, but now it was selling at Rs150 per kg.
