ISLAMABAD: Culprits looted millions of rupees in different strikes, while a gang of criminal looted a couple of people in a park, police said on Friday. In the first incident, a gang of culprits looted Rs1.5 millon cash from an employee of a property dealer besides beating and injuring him in F-11 Markaz, In another incident, a gang of gunmen looted Rs1,600,000 cash from a man in I-8 Markaz, they added. Meanwhile, building material was stolen from an underconstruction house after police took a watchman and labourers working there to police station,sorces told Dawn. A case has been registered at Noon Police Station under section 379 of PPC in response of a complaint lodged by Mohammad Azam. According to the FIR, Mohammad Azam was constructing a house in the area of Jhangi Syedan. A police vehicle came and picked up a watchman along with labourers and mason working there, it added. Mohammad Azam requested the police to release the watchman, the labourers and the mason and take him to police station if there was any issue. However, the police asked him to follow them and left for the police station, it said, adding that later Mohammad Azam locked the main gate and left for the police station. After five hours long efforts he succeeded to get releaser the watchman, labourers and mason from the police custody and returned to the house, the FIR said, adding that he found the lock at the main gate disappeared. He went inside the house and found construction material, including 10 mound iron rods, and number of cement sacks, along with wires and other material stolen, it added.
