Spokesman for the City Traffic Police said apart from this, strong action will also be taken against the violators helmet rule. In this regard, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Benish Fatima issued special instructions to all circle in-charges and sector in-charges to take action against unfit vehicles in their respective circles. It will also provide awareness to unlicensed drivers besides organising a seminar and walk to raise awareness among the public. CTO further said their FM 88.6 radio will also air fitness programme to provide greater awareness to citizens regarding vehicle fitness. CTO Benish Fatima said: “Our aim is to make the city free from accidents and also provide a clean environment to the public.” Public should not face any kind of problem on the roads and provide them with a clean environment, she added.
