RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police carried out a flag march to instil a sense of security among citizens in Rawalpindi on Saturday. The march, led by SP Security Nasir Khan, passed through key areas including Rawal Road, Murree Road, Mall Road and Chohar Chowk before culminating at Rawalpindi Police Lines, said a police spokesperson. “The prime objective for holding the flag march was to uphold the rule of law and create a sense of security among citizens,” he said. Law enforcers remain on high alert in the garrison city with Section 144 in place to ban unauthorised public gatherings and rallies. Scores of police personnel have been deployed at entry and exit points of the city to monitor suspicious activities and ensure strict compliance with the law.
