ISLAMABAD: Wapda thrashed Balochistan 10-0 to secure a quarter-final berth in the 37th National Junior Hockey Championship at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium on Sunday. Yasir Babar, Mohammad Hassan and Nadeem Khan each scored twice for Wapda, who dominated the match from start to finish. In other matches, Army and Customs also booked their spots in the last-eight. Customs defeated Punjab Whites 3-0, while Army routed Islamabad 7-0. Meanwhile, the encounter between Navy and Punjab Red ended in a 2-2 stalemate. Rana Waleed and Mohammad Usman scored for Navy, while Muhammad Uzair and Muhammad Adeel replied for Punjab Red. In another closely contested match, Pakistan Education Boards edged Sindh Blue 1-0.
