PM Shehbaz reiterates govt’s commitment to implement reforms in all sectors

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday reiterated the government’s commitment to implement across all sectors. He was talking to newly appo­in­ted experts on governance improvement, who called on the prime minister. The prime minister said digitisation, automation, and enhanced decision-making processes are pillars of progress and prosperity in the modern world. He emphasised that appointment of these experts will improve decision-making process and contribute to more effective governance. PM Shehbaz said their input and critical reviews on decisions of important public interest will result in far-reaching positive outcomes and expressed the confidence that “we will benefit from the expertise of these individuals, who have made invaluable contributions in their respective fields”. PM Shehbaz told the experts that they all carry the significant responsibility of contributing expert opinions and constructive thinking to the decision-making process of national affairs. He expressed the hope that these experts will perform their duties with utmost excellence. The prime minister was informed that these experts will provide the government with specialised and critical advice in their respective areas. During the session, the newly appointed officers were introduced and briefed about their respective responsibilities. The meeting was attended by federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema and other senior officials. Meanwhile, the Balochistan governor called on PM Shehbaz on Wednesday and discussed issues related to the province. PM Shehbaz told the Balochistan governor that development of Balochistan and welfare of its people is the foremost priority of the federal government. The prime minister said that all possible measures are being taken for providing jobs to the youth of Balochistan. The governor thanked the prime minister for taking a keen interest in the development projects of Balochistan. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and President of PML-N’s AJK chapter Shah Ghulam Qadir also attended this meeting. In the meeting, Shah Ghulam Qadir thanked the prime minister for providing the AJK government Rs23 billion for resolving energy-related issues in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
