ISLAMABAD: A US embassyofficial lost his official mobile phone in a street crime activity, police said on Saturday. According to the FIR registered at Sumbal police station, the victim Ishtiaq Hussain Shah, claimed the mobile phone contained sensitive and important information. The police said that Mr Hussain, serving in US Embassy in Islamabad, was using the mobile phone to book an online ride at Choongi No 26 when a motorcyclist appeared and snatched his official mobile phone. As per the embassy official, the mobile was provided to him by his department for official purpose and it contains sensitive and important information, the police said, adding he feared that the information kept in the mobile, could be accessed by unauthorised person(s). The complainant requested the police to ensure the recovery of the mobile and prevent any misuse of the official data, they added.
